Pastor Greg Strickland leads Northport Church of God with passion, clarity, and an unwavering commitment to helping people grow in their walk with Christ. His heart beats for life change—guiding our church to pursue Jesus boldly, love people deeply, and step confidently into the purpose God has for us.
With a strong vision for growth and a shepherd’s humility, Pastor Greg keeps our mission focused and our faith stretched. He leads with wisdom, sensitivity to the Holy Spirit, and a readiness to act when God speaks. Alongside his wife, Jenny—who serves faithfully with grace, strength, and compassion—they champion a culture of unity, authenticity, and spiritual transformation.
Together, Pastor Greg and Jenny inspire our church to dream big, serve wholeheartedly, and believe for the extraordinary.
Micah & Krystle Bush
Student Pastor

Micah and Krystle Bush lead Impact Student Ministries with a deep passion for helping students grow in their relationship with Jesus. They love making the Bible understandable and relevant, helping students apply God’s truth to everyday life. Whether teaching God’s Word or showing up at games, recitals, or coffee hangouts, they believe in doing life with students. Their heart is to see every student thrive—not just now, but wherever God leads them in the future.
Matt & Kayla Ferguson
Life Group's and Discipleship Pastor

Kayla and Matt Ferguson have currently served in ministry for over 10 years, bringing energy, compassion, and a deep love for the Lord and His people. With a passion for helping others discover and walk in their God-given giftings, they now lead our Discipleship and Life Groups ministry. Their heart is to see the church deeply connected and thriving through intentional relationships and spiritual growth. They believe discipleship happens best when we walk through life together.

Melodie Golden
Children's Pastor
​Pastor Melodie leads our NCOG Kids worship service and overseeing all operations within the Children’s Department. With a heart for creativity, Pastor Melodie brings God’s Word to life through interactive lessons, hands-on activities, and engaging object lessons that help children understand biblical truth in ways that are fun, memorable, and meaningful.
Her passion is to create a safe, joyful, and Christ-centered environment where every child feels seen, loved, and encouraged to grow in their faith. Pastor Melodie leads with excellence, innovation, and a deep commitment to partnering with families as they disciple the next generation.
Ray and Stacy Kilgore
Worship Pastor
Pastor Ray Kilgore serves as the Worship Pastor at Northport Church of God, leading our congregation into powerful, Spirit-led worship each week. He and his wife, Stacy have served in numerous areas of ministry for 35 years. With a deep love for God and for people, Pastor Ray is passionate about creating an atmosphere where every person can encounter Jesus through genuine, heartfelt praise.
He leads and cares for the Worship and Production Ministries, not just by organizing teams, but by pastoring the individuals he serves alongside—encouraging, mentoring, and walking with them as they grow spiritually and in their giftings. His leadership blends excellence with compassion, creativity with humility.
Pastor Ray’s heart is to cultivate a culture of worship that is authentic, unified, and rooted in God’s Word, raising up leaders and teams who serve with joy, purpose, and a love for God’s presence and one another.
Steven & Keshia Tyree
Family Life Pastor

Steven and Keshia Tyree have served faithfully in ministry for over 10 years and currently serve as our Family Life Pastors. They are passionate about connecting families to the life of the church and creating spaces where people feel seen, known, and engaged. Through overseeing our Growth Track and volunteer connection, they help individuals discover their purpose and take their next steps in serving. Their heart is to see every person growing, thriving, and living out their calling within the body of Christ.

Administrative Assistant

run smoothly.
Chase & Chesley Goalen
College and Career Pastor
We partner with the young adults ages 18-25 as they make the transition from high school to college or the work force. Our goal is to equip them to remain grounded in their faith and their church as they make the transition. We lead Sunday small groups and life groups. We also connect students to other leaders within the church where they can fulfill the great commission by serving in other ministries such as Kidz Connection, Youth Small Groups, Media Ministry, Praise Team and more.
Tolliver Gilliland
Northport Church of God Audio Department
​
Tolliver is head of the Audio Department at Northport Church of God. He oversees the audio volunteers at the front of house and in the Livestream Suite. Tolliver is the Systems Engineer responsible for designing, maintaining, and programming Audio Visual systems for Intercollegiate Athletics with a primary focus in Audio at the University of Alabama. He is the engineer for all UA Athletic Audio Systems live sporting events.
